Privacy Policy
1. Who We Are
This Privacy Policy explains how Static Vault handles user and device data. Static Vault is published by OrangeLemons.
2. Scope
This policy applies to the Static Vault Android app distributed through Google Play and to data handled through the app and integrated third-party services.
3. Data We Access, Collect, Use, and Share
Static Vault uses two categories of data:
- On-device gameplay data (stored locally on your device): game progress, best score, in-game currency totals, unlocked cosmetics, and gameplay settings such as audio/preferences.
- Challenge leaderboard data (processed by our backend): pseudonymous client ID, your 3-letter arcade tag and challenge display name, challenge ID/type, score, survival time, max depth, coins collected, anti-abuse run hash, client version, and run timestamps.
- Challenge session security metadata: temporary challenge session ID/token metadata, issue/expiry/use timestamps, and issuing IP address used for abuse prevention and replay protection.
- Advertising data via third-party ad SDK (Google AdMob): when ads are enabled, Google AdMob may collect and process data such as advertising identifiers, device/app information, IP address, approximate location inferred from IP, and ad performance/interaction data.
We do not create user accounts in Static Vault and we do not directly request sensitive permissions such as contacts, microphone, camera, or precise location for app functionality.
4. How Data Is Used
- To provide core game functionality and persistent progress on your device.
- To run daily/weekly challenge leaderboards and show rankings in-app.
- To prevent cheating, replay attacks, and fraudulent challenge submissions.
- To show rewarded and interstitial ads (if enabled) and support app monetization.
- To improve ad delivery, fraud prevention, and service reliability through our ad partner.
5. Data Sharing
We may share data with the following parties:
- Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (hosting provider): hosts our challenge API and leaderboard database infrastructure.
- Google AdMob / Google: for ad serving, ad measurement, fraud prevention, and related advertising operations.
- Legal authorities: if required to comply with applicable law or valid legal process.
We do not sell personal and sensitive user data.
6. Data Retention and Deletion
- On-device game data remains on your device until you delete app data, uninstall the app, or reset your device.
- Challenge leaderboard records and related challenge metadata are retained for up to 90 days after a challenge ends, then automatically deleted.
- Challenge session security records (including issuing IP) are retained for up to 14 days after session expiry, then automatically deleted.
- Data processed by Google AdMob is retained according to Google's policies. See Section 10 for links.
Static Vault does not support in-app account creation, so account deletion workflows are not applicable.
7. Data Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data handled through the app. Data handled by third-party providers is subject to their security controls and policies.
8. Children's Privacy
Static Vault is not intended to knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided personal data through the app, contact us and we will review and respond.
9. Your Choices
- You can clear local game data by clearing app storage or uninstalling the app.
- During an active challenge window, your challenge tag/display name is locked for that specific challenge once set, and can be changed again when the next challenge period starts.
- You can manage ad preferences and reset your advertising ID in your Android device privacy settings.
